The Brightside Volunteer Program is a vital component of the services provided at Brightside. Volunteers are effectively and creatively integrated into the total human resource system of Brightside utilizing each individual's time, skills, and interest.
Our volunteers range in age from 21 to 90! They come from all walks of life, and volunteer for many different reasons. They volunteer because: "It makes me feel good to help someone"; "I want to give back", or "I just want to make a difference". The Brightside Volunteers have made an incredible difference over and over again by their compassion, commitment, and love for others.
Brightside Volunteers enhance the lives of the Brightside children through volunteer programs such as: Games Night, Arts/Crafts, Spiritual Development, Mentoring, Book Clubs, Story Hour, Chess Club, Drama and Theater, Library Volunteer, Creative Writing, Music and Pet Therapy. Our volunteer programs are scheduled both during the day and evening hours. We are always open to new volunteer programs and work with volunteers to design a program based on the needs of the children and the skills of the volunteer.
