BRIGHTSIDE HOLIDAY WISH LIST 2011
Thank you for considering fulfilling a "Wish List" for a child served by Brightside for Families and Children this year. Each year at Brightside we continue to advance our mission as a healing and transforming presence in the lives of the youth and families we serve. For several years, generous people like you have made the dreams of children come true for the holidays through our Holiday Wish List program.
In the last year we have served over 400 children, their siblings and their families. By helping us you can make a difference in the life of a child, one that may have a lasting impact.

Please accept our warmest thanks and wishes to you and your
loved ones for peace and joy during this Holiday Season.
WISH LIST
Each child receiving services at Brightside will develop a
special list of their holiday wishes for you.
You can decide whether to "adopt" a child's list and shop for the items,
or you can donate to Brightside and we will shop for the items. Please choose one of the following options.
1. Single Child
Sponsor: an individual who sponsors a child's wish
list in the amount of $150.00.
2. Group Child Sponsor:
sponsors who decide to join together with family, friends or coworkers
in order to sponsor a child's wish list in the amount of $150.00.
3. Single Family Sponsor: an
individual who sponsors a family of children whose wish list is valued by the
size
of the family. Donation will be based on
the size of the family.
4. Group Family Sponsor:
sponsors who decide to join together with family, friends or coworkers
in support of a family of children whose wish list is valued by the size of the
family. Donation will be based on the
size of the family.

If you do
not have time to shop, please consider:
Gift Cards or Cash Donations
Gift cards and cash donations are
especially welcome as they allow staff to purchase holiday gifts personalized
to the children's needs and wishes.
Please feel free to drop off
donations, or donate through online giving.
VOLUNTEER
We are
currently recruiting volunteers to provide support in various tasks involving
the Holiday Wish List Program. Volunteer
opportunities include:
1. Wish
List Coordinators or "Chief Elf Bernard" - will act as a committee chair
and coordinate the designated roles and responsibilities for the Holiday Wish
List Program.
2. Sponsor
Recruiters - involves calling businesses in our community for sponsorship
of a child or family's wish list.
3. Wish List Distributor - will provide
support to the Wish List Coordinators in the assignment of the children's wish
lists to sponsors.
4. Phone
call reminder to sponsors - calling the sponsors to remind them of our gift
drop off location, date and time.
5. Shopper's
- shopping for gifts to fulfill wish lists.
6. Wrappers
- gift wrapping of the generous gifts donated.
7. Gift
organizers and sorters - will assist in the organization of the gifts in
our toy room as gifts are dropped off by sponsors.
8. Gift
Distributors - this person will distribute gifts to the appropriate staff
member who will deliver sorted gifts to child or family.
